Well, many things really! It's sometimes difficult to spend time in the shop. Life happens.
Recently my little sister passed away, then I bruised my ribs badly (Almost done healing), then I got a sinus infection and trying to get rid of that nuisance now. Ahh the woes!! Add to those things the cold winter preparation of processing firewood and removing fire hazards around the property I have managed to still craft some really nice pipes! Most have been commissioned pieces so I haven't had much to put in my online store here. I'm also putting together a collection of pipes for the Chicago Pipe Show in May and keeping my brick and mortar stores amply supplied. It's been a busy season and I'm grateful for the proximity of the wood shop. It allows me to take care of the house, property and our two feisty dogs while being able to make pipes. I have plenty of fine Italian briar, a limited supply of Croatian morta and a few remaining blocks of Italian Olive wood. If you're interested in a hand crafted custom tobacco pipe then now is a good time. I love being busy and winter time in the high desert is the season where I have the most free time to carve pipes. During the Spring and summer months I have even more obligations and priorities, like Fly fishing, camping and all the fun stuff ;) Email me to order something special at [email protected]. Thank you
