RC (reverse calabash) Blue Tobacco Pipe

The RC or reverse calabash picked up momentum some years ago. Known for its distinctive hollowed out shank cavity or moisture trap. As the smoke rolls around in the empty space it creates a drier smoke. Some folks even add a small piece of cotton in the chamber each time although a simple wipe down after the pipe has cooled is perfectly fine. I used to make a lot in this style of pipe so this was fun to revisit a classic shape of mine. The mouthpiece on this pipe is a real head turner! A hand cut pearlescent blue long saddle that shimmers in the light. Contrasted with a stout black egg shape stummel makes this compact piece a perfect travel companion!!
